The Big 31

Clark is now 31!  On his birthday Caden asked him how old he was, and when Clark responded with "31" Caden said, "oh great, you are almost a teenager!"  So we celebrated this pre-teen's birthday this weekend with a date to the American Bull Fighting competition.  It was crazy.  People choose to face angry bulls trying to kill them...and they call it a sport.
On Sunday the boys made Clark several birthday cards and Ethan had a brilliant idea to make him an oreo cake.  That night we had the Fowlers and Zeno come over for cake and fireworks.
Our little firework display included some massive sparklers...I think I can use the pictures to prove to my boys that I have magical powers!

He definitely started year 31 with a bang!

4th of July - Estes Park Style

I got to wake up on the 4th to the cutest little flag-striped, firecracker haired All-American boy!

When Clark got home from work we headed to Rocky Mountain National Park

In the evening we waited out a rain storm (Quinn kept lifting his arms up and saying, "wetting, wetting) and were rewarded with the coolest firework show!  It was like surround sound echoing through the canyon.  Such a fun celebration of freedom with our little family!

Grammy in Greeley

My mom drove back to Greeley with us and then was able to stay for a week and a half.  It was the perfect week filled with all things summer...like Sonic Happy Hour for half-price flushies, T-ball games, parks, dollar movies, hikes, two trips to Estes park, and discovering the Swetsville Zoo.

We rode the Loveland train and the boys wanted to have all of us ride together in the tiny caboose.  Good times!

We rode the tram at Estes Park and discovered the craziest, friendly chipmunks.

Great views in every direction!

Quinn is a chipmunk whisperer!

We ended that day with a trip down the super slide.
Tired, dirty boys at the end of the day!

 Hiking to Glacier Falls!

Summer is just better with Grammy!
