Biker Gang

My boys love riding bikes, but until just recently I couldn't convince them that 2 wheel bikes were more fun than their spin bike and big wheels.  With a little peer pressure, Ethan has recently learned to ride a bike!  Yay!  Caden is doing great on Ethan's old bike with training wheels.  I have a bike with a seat for Quinn...and finally we are all able to go ride the river trail together.  I've been waiting for this day when we could all be mobile...and then just as soon as that day came, my bike broke!

I still still had fun today jogging behind the boys as they rode on the trail, pushing the littlest mongoose in the stroller.  It was a crisp spring day, with wind and a little rain sprinkle.  I loved every minute.

We just got Quinn a strider bike this week and he is amazing on it.  I think by the end of this summer he'll be able to keep up with the big boys!

I Can't Stop Dancing

I just about cried last night when I discovered that the city we are moving to has all day kindergarten.  I don't want to send my Caden to school all day yet!!!  Caden is my buddy.  He pretty much sticks by my side all day long.  He is constantly making art, and usually hanging it with scotch tape on our walls.  Currently, there is a family of 24 hearts that he's cut out of paper hanging by our dining room table.

He keeps me laughing with the things he says.  Today I had some music playing this morning, he tearfully asked me to turn it off.  When I asked him why, he said, "it's too hard to get dressed with the music on, I just can't stop dancing."
He is also a sweet talker.  He tells me multiple times during the day that I'm the best mom he's ever had.
I know this sweet little 4 year old is ready for school next year, but why does it have to be all day?!  If he's at school all day how can we enjoy things like llamas at the library storytime?  Or when we stopped to watch some firefighters training the other day and they invited Caden to come get in the firetruck and check everything out.  I'm not a fan of all day Kindergarten, I don't think it's any more beneficial to the kids than half day, and I'm selfish, I want my kids in my house as long as possible.

What's a mom to do?  This is all going by too fast.

While the Dad's Away...

A few weekends ago, Clark had a conference in Denver, so we had a super Saturday!  We went to Fort Collins with my friend Carrie and her kids.  We checked out the new Fort Collins temple that is under construction.
We found a new park that was awesome to play at!

After the park we hit up 7/11 for their slurpee sale!  They had a deal that you could bring in any container and fill it up for $1.26.
It was a lot of Slurpee!
We went to the dollar movie and then I drove the boys back to Greeley, dropped Caden and Quinn off with Clark and took Ethan to an ice skating birthday party.  I was just going to drop him off, but after watching him skate around a few laps I realized he needed a little (or a lot) of assistance.  So I put on some skates and joined him.  We had a lot of fun on our ice skating date.  Afterwards, it was late and I made him run to the grocery store with me for a few things.  By the end of that it was 10 PM, I knew Clark and the little boys were home asleep, and Ethan was starving, so I took him to Applebee's for half-price appetizers.  We had so much fun, playing these little getting to know you games they have on tablets there.  We even splurged for dessert.  I loved having a night with my Ethan boy!
I have no idea where he gets it from!
We got home from our date at 11:30 PM, and then I stayed up a few more hours preparing a sharing time lesson...but our Super Saturday was worth it!  Such a fun day!

Spring Break in Boise

We were so happy to be able to spend a week in Boise for Spring Break.  We got to Layton late Friday night after having a few troubles with the Jeep, and stayed with Weston and Erica.  The boys were so excited to see Scarlett.
At Cracker Barrel Saturday morning.
The wind was bad all through Wyoming and Idaho.  We hit the biggest tumbleweed that I thought needed documented.
Easter best!

Uncle James took care of Quinn's stinky feet one afternoon.
The boys always love motorcycle rides with Grandpa!

Easter egg traditions!

These kids LOVE their Grammy!

Grandpa and Caden made critter shaped Rice Krispy treats!
An Easter egg hunt at the church.

Quinn was ticked the eggs were gone before he got to the grass.
Always wanted to buy an Easter bonnet for a child of mine.
Pedicures with LauriAnn.
Air hockey at the church.
Let's do the crazy shake!

Got some extra recruits for our weekly music video!

It was a perfect week!  I wish the distance between Idaho and Colorado wasn't so far!  Thanks Mom and Dad for a wonderful week!

Grammy's Easter Extravaganza

Weston, Erica and Scarlett got to come out for Easter weekend, so with the whole family together we got to party!  On the Saturday before Easter we went to the church for Grammy's Easter extravaganza!  It was so fun!  We started by playing Hungry Hippos live on skateboards.  No kids were injured, but both of my brothers got a little hurt...hmmmm?

We had an Easter egg hunt, everyone had to find 3 eggs with their names on them to use as bait for a fishing pond.  There were too many good treats given out in the fishing pond!

Thanks Grammy for the best Easter party ever!
