Disney Dreaming

Our chain is getting shorter and the excitement is growing!  We've been planning and saving for this Disney trip for a long time.  Originally we had hoped to take the boys to California sometime this winter for a few days...but it worked out for us to go to Florida because Clark has a conference in Orlando...so Disney World here we come!
I had no idea that there were Disney "experts" out there.  I shouldn't admit how many nights I have stayed up way too late researching EVERYTHING!  I've also been having crazy Disney dreams, like about my boys being trampled by characters that are stampeding through the park, Ethan was able to grab on to Donald's tail and survive.  It's just time for the trip, these weird dreams are driving me nuts!  The crowd calendar is predicting small crowds, warm days, and rain...we'll take it!
The boys love studying the free maps and watching the trip planning DVD Disney sent us.  I've been making a few Disney crafts to take along.
So so excited!!!

Quinn - 15 Months

How is it even possible that my baby is 15 months!  The months just fly by with him.  I feel like every week he changes so much and there is always something so fun and cute he is doing.  I need to do a better job of writing things down.  So here is Quinn at 15 months:

He is so playful.  He loves to play tag and be chased.  He loves balls, and throwing.

He loves to be big and mimic everything he sees.  He puts on everyone's shoes and tries to put clothes on by himself.  He loves to run with his brothers.  He has no fear.  He is a climber and it is terrifying to me.  He climbs on the chairs and if they are not right next to the table he will leap to the table, land on his chest and just hang their screaming until someone comes and saves him.  The other day Ethan went down the roller coaster surfing style on his feet, so now Quinn thinks that is what he should do.  My little daredevil makes me nervous, luckily he hasn't attempted to scale his crib yet.

Love the ear flaps blowing in the wind!

Good new is he's growing...bad news is we need new pants!

He insists on throwing his own diapers away.  It's pretty cute to hear him yell "I did it" after he does it.  Then he does a little victory dance, so proud of his accomplishments.  While he keeps the diapers picked up he destroys the rest of the house so quickly.  I can't keep up with how he transports items throughout the house.

He's getting old enough now that he doesn't like when his brothers try to take something away from them.  He gets a feisty look on his face and yells, "no, no, no, no."

His communication has really grown.  His big blue eyes and crazy long eyelashes are about the most expressive things I have ever seen, he doesn't even need to talk with those eyes.  He uses words, "momma, dadda, go, no, ya, I did it, and night night."  The other day Ethan pretended to sneeze and yelled, "ah-choo."  Now Quinn goes around yelling, "ah-choo," and then cracks up.

His milk allergy is still pretty severe and we've had more allergy attacks than I would care to admit.

He has 4 teeth on top, and 3 on the bottom.

He is as cute as can be.  His faces crack me up.  He is a dare devil, yet cautious.  He can melt hearts with his smile, but is guarded.  He is active, but will still snuggle a little.  I love my Quinn at 15 months!

Balentine's Day

The boys made some cute cards this year for Valentine's Day!

That's Caden making a scary dragon face.
The boys woke up to find the Valentine Mystery Matrix outside their door.

They loved following their string through their messy playroom (adds to the mystery) to find their Valentine treats.

Clark got home early in the afternoon to come to Parent-Teacher conferences with us.  The boys then surprised me with some fun treats.  Caden gave me tulips, he was couldn't even contain his excitement.  My favorite quote of the day was when he said, "these are called tulips because we have two lips and we use our lips for kissing on Balentines."
Then Clark had to leave to go with the scouts on the Klondike Derby, so the boys and I had heart shaped pizza for dinner, I put them to bed and caught up on the Bachelor while working on a sewing project.  Pretty romantic night really!

Love my sweet Valentines!

New York Cowboy

Last night Caden was so excited that the boys were going to make dinner.  They were calling it the Cowboy Cafe...Ethan was the waiter, Caden the chef, and Clark the cook.  Caden ran downstairs to find a chef hat and came up wearing this.  He said, "this isn't your ordinary restaurant, this is a New York City cowboy place."  Apparently this is how the cowboys look in New York City.  And in case you are wondering what they eat there it is biscuits and gravy, cuties and blackberries.
I love the world according to Caden.

Grammy Palooza

Last week was one of the coldest weeks of the winter, one morning it was -24 when I dropped Ethan off at school!  Clark got to go to Mexico for a medical mission trip and it was literally a 100 degree difference. Lucky for us that got left in the frozen tundra, Grammy came in with canned heat in her heels and warmed us all up.  We all just think life is a lot better when Grammy is around!  She helped me with a ton of projects for church and at home.  We had a lot of fun, here are a few of the highlights:

Tea for Two:
I took her to a tea party luncheon/manicure for her 33rd anniversary.  It was very fun, even if our waiter had been drinking a bit too much (and I don't mean tea).  Quite entertaining, and we had pretty nails for awhile.

Children's Museum and Shopping in Denver:
The boys love this place.  I get really funny pictures of them.  Win, win.
Have I mentioned that Quinn LOVES balls, he was in heaven in this room.

They really do enjoy the "worm" room, despite their forlorn expressions seen here.
Oh Ethan, I can't even look at these next ones without cracking up.  He takes his worm role very seriously.

Just filling my shopping cart(s) with boys!
Magic Suitcase:
The magic suitcase never fails to disappoint!  Special glowing goggles to help with homework.

Firsts:
Quinn had a few firsts while Grammy was here.  He attended his first rave, and appears to LOVE it!

He got a hold of his first Oreo:

He had his first official haircut.  There was a sale at Great Clips, so all the boys were sheared.

Post-cut.
The time always goes by too fast.  Ethan and Caden were both so sad when we had to drop her off.  Thanks for coming Grammy!  Until next time.

Super Bowl - Super Sad

There was so much anticipation for the Super Bowl this year since Clark's beloved Broncos were playing.  The boys donned their blue and orange, a few friends came over...and then the game started.  Earlier I had decided I was going to sneak into my room and put on my Seahawks jersey and some point during the game just to be an instigator...however, the game was way to sad to even attempt that little joke.

Caden enjoyed the Super Bowl, he didn't care who won, he just loved his blue cupcake.

James Bond Night

A few weeks ago we were invited to a James Bond - Casino Royale themed birthday party.  It was a fun date night.  I was excited to get to wear my new pleather peplum shirt, and Clark busted out his tuxedo from our wedding (the dust was pretty thick).  The best part of the night was when we were leaving and Ethan said, "Wow, mom looks like a rockstar!"

The boys love having a babysitter.  This night was extra exciting because they got to open this game from Erica and Weston that they had given us in our "date kit" for Christmas.
